Closson’s was the Cincinnati representative for Matthew Kinsey’s work until 2010, when the gallery closed after 144 years in business. At the time of its closing Closson’s was the oldest gallery west of the Alleghenies. The gallery exhibited the work of noted historical artists in the prime of their careers including Duveneck and Twatchman. In later years, Closson’s showed paintings and prints by regional, national and internationally known historical and living artists including Camille Pisarro, Gilbert Stuart, John Stobart and Prince Charles. ]]>
